Local Schools

We are passionate about increasing hockey participation among young people in our local community. Too many schools have seen hockey disappear from their curriculum, and we want to change that by breaking down barriers and making the sport accessible to all.

Developing Relationships

Working with England Hockey, Redditch Borough Council, local P.E. coordinators, and Active Herefordshire & Worcestershire, we’ve developed partnerships, secured grants, and delivered sustainable outreach programmes. Highlights include:

• Batchley First School – working with Hockey Futures to deliver PE lessons and after-school clubs, introducing hockey to children who had never played before.
  
• Birchensale Middle School – delivery of a Hockey Satellite Club for Year 5 & 6 pupils.
  
• Woodfield Middle School – running an after-school hockey club.
  
• Beaconside Primary School – delivery of an after-school hockey club.
  
• Matchborough First School – delivery of a before-school hockey club.
  
• Redditch Schools Tournaments – providing facilities, coaching, and encouragement to ensure Year 5 & 6 pupils can take part and progress into middle school hockey.
  
• Trinity High School – supporting the Worcs Girls Can initiative with hockey sessions at the school.
