It is with great sadness that Redditch Hockey Club announces the passing of Robert Markham last Thursday (16 September), aged 19, after a sudden illness.
Robert was a hugely respected member of the club, and an active participant both on and off the pitch. He was an integral member of the Mens Second team that pushed for promotion in 2009-10, and was expected to feature regularly for the First team in 2010-11. Robert hugely enjoyed his hockey, and was happy to play for any team in any position.
The thoughts of Redditch Hockey Club lie with the family and friends of Robert at this difficult time. He will be sorely missed by all members of the club.
